Well i have a very old mattress it was my mothers and fathers .when i recieved it ,it was already broken in, it has marks where they have layed down .it also has buttons coming up all most every where.i toss and turn to try to find a way to relax ,but that seems to be impossible, and if that is not bad enought the springs are coming thru.once i get in it i cant get out of it ,unless someone pulls me out. When my brothers and i were small we would sleep with them when we were sick we puked and urinated in the bed and even though my mom cleaned it i swear that i still smell it . Oh! I all most forgot i got the pillows too they have to fold them in half. |

i live in a rec room that is part of a basement. my bed in right next to my computer desk and large desktop computer. My bed is composed of two futons that are not properly supported underneath; on one side of my “under-bed” is a fold away spring for a single bed and on the other side is a piano stool just used for support. this is very uncomfortable. |

The mattress is a normal mattress. It is spring mattress and a normal pillow. I have a downstrairs room that is suppose to be like small living room. I don’t even have doors. I put up curtains for privacy. I did that so my boys could have their own rooms. My husband snores so that I can not sleep with him. I use to sleep on the couch. My bed is an old bed from my kids when they were 3 or 4 years old. We kept it in case one of theirs broke. That is why I feel my bed is uncomfortable. |

Hi, my name is Barbara and I think that my room is the most uncomfortable because, its not really mine, none of the bedding and the furniture is mine. The bed is not mine the bookcase is not mine, and the furniture is not mine. It was all handed down to me, and I feel like the room is old and dingy looking with all this “handed down” furniture. And it is small! It is a longish room and the sofa almost did not fit in it! The bed and the sofa is side by side, so it looks like I have an extended fort for overgrown adults. PLEASE let me win! |

I have a lumpy, frumpy, mattress that is supposed to be one of the better mattresses out there these days. My mattress is so lumpy and frumpy that I have a comforter under the mattress pad to help me sleep better, or otherwise I would wake up with my hips hurting so awfully bad that I can hardly walk much less feel like I have had adequate rest. Even with the comforter I still have times when I can’t rest and my hips hurt terribly. |

My uncomfortable bedroom started about 6 yrs. ago. My son died suddenly and my nightmares and insomnia started. I then started having severe back pain and tried several remedies, including injections. Finally, I had surgery 3 yrs. ago and for awhile I seemed better. Later, my back started acting up again. I think it started back because of the bed sagging where I slept. I bought a foam topper for my King size bed, but that doesn’t seem to help. My sleeping has gone downhill to virtually no more than 2 or 3 hrs. at a time with periods of 5 to 6 hours awake, during the night. I just didn’t know what else to try. We had room darkening window treatments to make the room darker, just to see if this would help. I also turn on a fan or a sound machine and I read or watch tv till 1a.m. or later. I think it all comes down to my bed and mattress being uncomfortable for me, with a little bit of depression added into the mix. Can you help me? |

I’m a grad student at MSU and have the most uncomfortable room. I live in a pretty nice house with some pretty cool guys but the room I have is too small for my queen size bed from home. So instead of bringing the queen up from home I got the spare twin. Since this is the spare, it doesn’t even have a box spring for it. I’ll be getting one soon but even so, it’s a 3 year old mattress that sits on the floor with no box spring. You cant get much more uncomfortable than that. the puffy thing you see there is my down comforter I usually sleep on it rather than under it because it makes it slightly more comfortable. |

we had a house fire on Easter 2010 and our room is the most uncomfortable first of all because it burned to a crisp second of all we had feathers from our pillow topper everywhere. We are in the process of rebuilding our home and are now sleeping in a rented bed with a rented mattress not so comfortable |
